About Dartmoor Camping
At Dartmoor Camping, we’ve kept things simple, spacious, and in tune with nature. Our quiet, off-grid campsite is intentionally small and low-impact, offering just eight well-spaced pitches so guests can truly relax and switch off.
Four large pitches sit in an open field with sweeping views across Dartmoor—ideal for watching the sunrise, stargazing, or soaking in the ever-changing moorland skies. The other four are nestled into a peaceful private woodland, each thoughtfully placed for maximum privacy and that special feeling of being immersed in nature.
We’ve created an inclusive, welcoming space for campers who value peace, natural beauty, and the chance to connect with the land—with no crowds, no noise, and no rush. Just space to breathe.
- Spacious pitches set within the woodland, ensuring privacy and a connection with nature.
- A large field with four well-spaced emplacements for those who prefer open skies.
- Private paddocks for horses, complete with covered stabling.
- Pet-Friendly camping where dogs are welcome
Woodland Camping
Sleep beneath the trees, wake with the birds
Our four woodland pitches are tucked deep among oak and hazel, offering a peaceful and private retreat surrounded by birdsong and rustling leaves.
By day, listen to woodpeckers and watch the light dance through the trees. By night, drift off to the sound of owls calling overhead. It’s calm, wild, and quietly magical.
Each pitch comes with a fire pit, and shared facilities include compost toilets, off-grid outdoor showers, washing-up area and drinking water.
Perfect for nature-lovers, forest bathers, and those looking to slow right down.

Buttercup Meadow
Wide skies, wildflowers, and space to breathe
Set against the rolling backdrop of Dartmoor, Buttercup Meadow offers four spacious, well-separated emplacements with uninterrupted views. Perfect for families, small groups, or solo campers who love open skies and golden sunsets.
Expect bees and butterflies in summer, birdsong with your morning coffee, and stargazing by the fire after dark. Each pitch has its own fire pit, and facilities include compost toilets, off-grid outdoor showers, washing-up area and drinking water.
Simple, natural, and spacious—camping, as it should be.
